سیدتنا عائشہ رضی اللہ عنہا سے روایت ہے کہ ہند بنت عتبہ نے کہا: اے
اللہ کے نبی! مجھ سے بیعت لیجئے۔ پس آپ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے ارشاد فرمایا: میں تم سے بیعت
نہیں لوں گا یہاں تک کہ تم اپنے دونوں ہتھیلیوں کو بدل دو بس گویا کہ وہ درندہ کی ہتھیلیاں 1؎

(1) The statement: "as they look like the paws of a beast": He likened her undyed hands to the paws of a beast in terms of dislike, as they resemble men’s hands, and resembling men is disliked. This indicates the dislike of men dyeing their hands to resemble women. Thus, it is stated in Al-Mirqat.
