Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) narrated: A woman from behind a curtain gestured with her hand, holding a letter to the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ). The Prophet (ﷺ) withdrew his hand and said: I do not know if this is a man’s hand or a woman’s. She said: It is a woman’s hand. He said: If you were a woman, you would have changed your nails, meaning with henna .

٤٣١٨ - وَعَنْهَا رضي الله عنها، قَالَتْ: أَوْمَتْ امْرَأَةٌ مِنْ وَرَاءِ سِترٍ بِيَدِهَا كِتَابٌ إِلَى رَسُولِ اللهِصلي الله عليه واله وسلم فَقَضَ النَّبِيِّ صلي الله عليه واله وسلم ، فَقَالَ:(مَا أَدْرِي أَيَدُ رَجُلٍ أَمْ يَدُ امْرَأَةٍ) قَالَتْ: بَلْ يَدُامْرَأَةٍ، قَالَ:(لَوْ كُنْتِ امْرَأَةً لَغَيَّرْتِ أَخْفَارَكِ) يَعْنِي بِالْحِنَّاءِ. رَوَاهُ أَبُوْ دَاوُدَ وَالنَّسَائِيّ.

پردے کے پیچھے سے رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم کی طرف اشارہ کی تو نبی اکرم صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم
اپنے ہاتھ کو کھینچ لئے اور فرمائے میں نہیں جانتا کیا مرد کا ہاتھ ہے یا عورت کا ہاتھ؟ اس نے کہا:
بلکہ عورت کا ہاتھ ہے آپ نے فرمایا: اگر تو عورت ہے، تو تو اپنے ناخنوں کو بدل دے گی یعنی
