Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) narrated: People asked the Prophet (ﷺ) about soothsayers. He said: They are nothing. They said: O Messenger of Allah, they sometimes say things that come true. He said: That is a word of truth the jinn snatch and cackle into their ally’s ear like a hen’s cluck, mixing in over a hundred lies .
