Nafi' said: I saw Safiya bint Abi Ubayd performing wudu and removing her headscarf, then wiping her head. Nafi' added: "I was young at that time."

[Narrated by Muhammad, and he said: "We take this as our view, that wiping over the headscarf or turban is not allowed. It was reported that wiping over the turban was practiced, but it was abandoned. This is the view of Abu Hanifa and the majority of our scholars."]
