Abdullah ibn Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both) narrated that the Prophet (ﷺ) said: “Among the greatest righteousness is maintaining ties with one’s father’s loved ones after his death.”

٤٧٢٥ - وَعَنْهُ (رضي الله عنه) قَالَ: قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ : إِنَّ مِنْ أَبَرَّ الْبِرِّ صِلَةَ الرَّجُلِ أَهْلَ وُدّ أَبِيهِ بَعْدَ أَنْ يُوَلِّيَ». رَوَاهُ مُسْلِمٌ.
