Az-Zubayr (may Allah be pleased with him) narrated that the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said: “The disease of nations before you has crept to you: envy and hatred—it is the shaver. I do not say it shaves hair but shaves religion.”

٤٨٣٧ - وَعَنْ الزُّبَيْرِ (رضي الله عنه) قَالَ: قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ: «دَبَّ إِلَيْكُمْ دَاءُ الْأُمَمِ قَبْلَكُمُ الْحَسَدُ وَالْبَغْضَاءُ هِيَ الْخَالِقَةُ، لَا أَقُولُ تَحْلِقُ الشَّعَرَ وَلَكِنْ تَحْلِقُ الدِّيْنَ». رَوَاهُ أَحْمَدُ وَالتَّرْمِذِيُّ.

سیدنا زبیر رضی اللہ تعالیٰ عنہ سے روایت ہے انہوں نے کہا کہ
رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے ارشاد فرمایا: تم میں آہستہ سے پہلی امتوں کی بیماری آگئی ہے
اور وہ حسد اور دشمنی ہے، وہی مونڈنے والی ہے، میں نہیں کہتا وہ بالوں کو مونڈنے والی ہے
لیکن وہ دین کو مونڈنے والی ہے۔ (احمد، ترمذی)۔
