Abu Ad-Darda (may Allah be pleased with him) narrated that the Prophet (ﷺ) said: “The heaviest thing placed in the scale on the Day of Resurrection is good character, and Allah despises the obscene and vulgar.”

٤٨٨٧ - وَعَنْ أَبِي الدَّرْدَاءِ (رضي الله عنه) عَنِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ قَالَ: «إِنَّ أَثْقَلَ شَيْءٍ يُوْضَعُ فِي الْمِيزَانِ يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ خُلُقُ حَسَنٌ، وَإِنَّ اللهَ يُبْغِضُ الْفَاحِشَ الْبَذِي». رَوَاهُ التَّرْمِذِيُّ.
وَقَالَ: هَذَا حَدِيْثٌ حَسَنٌ صَحِيحُ وَرَوَى أَبُوْ دَاوُدَ الْفَصْلَ الْأَوَّلَ.

سیدنا ابوالدرداء رضی اللہ تعالیٰ عنہ نبی اکرم صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم سے روایت
کرتے ہیں آپ نے فرمایا: بیشک سب سے بھاری چیز جو قیامت کے دن مومن کے میزان میں
رکھی جائے گی اچھے اخلاق ہیں اور اللہ بداخلاق، بدزبان کو ناپسند کرتا ہے۔ (ترمذی)۔
اور امام ترمذی نے کہا: یہ حدیث حسن صحیح ہے، اور امام ابوداؤد نے فصل اول کی (یعنی صرف
خلق حسن تک) روایت کیا ہے۔
