Mahmoud ibn Labid (may Allah be pleased with him) narrated that the Prophet (ﷺ) said: "There are two things the son of Adam dislikes: death, yet death is better for the believer than trials; and scarcity of wealth, yet less wealth means less reckoning."

٥٠٣٢ - وَعَنْ مَحْمُوْدِ بْنِ لَبِيْدِ (رضي الله عنه) أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ قَالَ: «اثْنَتَانِ يَكْرَهُهُمَا ابْنُ آدَمَ: الْمَوْتُ، وَالْمَوْتُ خَيْرٌ لِلْمُؤْمِنِ مِنَ الْفِتْنَةِ، وَيَكْرَهُ قِلَّةَ الْمَالِ وَقِلَّةُ الْمَالِ أَقَلُّ لِلْحِسَابِ». رَوَاهُ أَحْمَدُ.

سیدنا محمود بن لبید رضی اللہ تعالیٰ عنہ سے روایت کرتے ہیں کہ نبی اکرم ﷺ نے
فرمایا: دو چیزیں ایسی ہیں جنہیں انسان ناپسند کرتا ہے: وہ موت کو ناپسند کرتا ہے حالانکہ موت مومن کیلئے
فتنہ سے بہتر ہے، اور وہ مال کی کمی کو ناپسند کرتا ہے حالانکہ مال کی کمی حساب کی کمی کا باعث ہے۔ (احمد)۔
