Amr ibn Al-As (may Allah be pleased with him) narrated that the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said: "Indeed, the heart of the son of Adam has a branch in every valley; so whoever follows his heart in all its branches, Allah does not care in which valley He destroys him, and whoever relies on Allah, He suffices him from the branches."

٥٠٨٨ - وَعَنْ عَمْرِو بْنِ الْعَاصِ (رضي الله عنه) قَالَ: قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ: «إِنَّ قَلْبَ ابْنِ آدَمَ بِكُلِّ وَادٍ شُعْبَةٌ، فَمَنْ أَتْبَعَ قَلْبَهُ الشُّعَبَ كُلَّهَا لَمْ يُبَالِ اللَّهُ بِأَيِّ وَادٍ أَهْلَكَهُ، وَمَنْ تَوَكَّلَ عَلَى اللهِ كَفَاهُ الشُّعَبَ». رَوَاهُ ابْنُ مَاجَه.

سیدنا عمرو بن عاص رضی اللہ تعالیٰ عنہ سے روایت ہے، رسول اللہ
صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے فرمایا: انسان کے دل کی ہر وادی میں ایک گھاٹی ہے اور جو شخص ساری وادیوں
میں اپنا دل لگا دیا تو اللہ تعالیٰ پرواہ نہیں کرتا کس وادی میں وہ ہلاک ہوا اور جو اللہ پر بھروسہ کرے گا
تو اللہ تعالیٰ اس کو تمام گھاٹیوں سے بچائے گا۔ (ابن ماجہ)۔
