Al-Mughirah ibn Shu’bah (may Allah be pleased with him) narrated: “No one asked the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) about the Dajjal more than I did, and he said to me: ‘What harm will he cause you?’ I said: ‘They say he will have a mountain of bread and a river of water 1.’ He said: ‘He is too insignificant in Allah’s sight for that.’”

Note 1
(1) His statement: “a river of water”: This indicates that during his time, there will be a drought, testing people and removing blessings from the lands due to widespread corruption. (As stated in Al-Mirqat)
Note 1
(۱) قوله: نهر ماء فيه إشارة إلى أن في زمانه قحط الماء أيضًا، ابتلاء للعباد وزوالا للبركة في البلاد؛ لعموم الفساد. كذا في «المرقاة».
