Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him) narrated that the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said: “No one 1 dies except that he regrets.” They said: “What is his regret, O Messenger of Allah?” He said: “If he was a doer of good, he regrets not having done more, and if he was a wrongdoer, he regrets not having refrained.”

٥٣٣٠ - وَعَنْهُ (رضي الله عنه) قَالَ: قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ : «مَا مِنْ1 أَحَدٍ يَمُوتُ إِلَّا نَدِمَ، قَالُوا: وَمَا نَدَامَتُهُ يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ؟ قَالَ: «إِنْ كَانَ مُحْسِنًا نَدِمَ أَنْ لَا يَكُونَ ازْدَادَ، وَإِنْ كَانَ مُسِيئًا نَدِمَ أَنْ لَا يَكُونَ نَزَعَ». رَوَاهُ التَّرْمِذِيُّ.

شرمندگی کیا ہے؟ آپ نے فرمایا: اگر وہ نیک ہے تو شرمندہ ہوگا کہ اور زیادہ نیکیاں نہیں کیا اور اگر
وہ برا ہے تو شرمندہ ہوگا کہ وہ برائیوں سے باز نہیں آیا تھا۔(ترمذی)۔
