Anas (may Allah be pleased with him) narrated that the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said: “Four people will come out of the Fire and be presented before Allah. Then they will be ordered to return to the Fire. One of them will turn back 1 and say, ‘O my Lord, I had hoped, when You took me out of it, that You would not return me to it.’ He said, ‘So Allah will save him from it.’”

Commentary and footnotes (2)
Note 1
(1) His statement: “One of them will turn back…”: He mentioned one of the four, ruling that he is saved, and omitted the other three, relying on the mentioned one, as the reason for their release from the Fire and salvation is the same. (As stated in Al-Mirqat)
