From Sawda, the wife of the Prophet (peace be upon him): She said, "A sheep died for us, and we tanned its skin. Then we continued to use it until it became a leather bag."

٥٩٨ - وَعَنْ سَوْدَةَ زَوْجِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ قَالَتْ: مَاتَتْ لَنَا شَاةٌ فَدَبَغْنَا مَسْكَهَا، ثُمَّ مَا زِلْنَا نَنْبِذُ فِيْهِ حَتَّى صَارَ شَنًّا. رَوَاهُ الْبُخَارِيُّ. وَرَوَى إِمَامُنَا أَبُو حَنِيفَةَ وَالطَّحَاوِيُّ نَحْوَهُ.
