Abu ad-Darda (may Allah be pleased with him) narrated that the Prophet (ﷺ) said: “The base of the Muslims 1 on the day of the great battle will be in Ghutah, beside a city called Damascus, one of the best cities of Sham.”

٦٠٤٣ - وَعَنْ أَبِي الدَّرْدَاءِ (رضي الله عنه) أَنَّ رَسُوْلَ اللهِ ﷺ قَالَ: «إِنَّ فُسْطَاطَ1 الْمُسْلِمِينَ يَوْمَ الْمَلْحَمَةِ بِالْغُوطَةِ إِلَى جَانِبِ مَدِينَةٍ يُقَالُ لَهَا: دِمَشْقُ مِنْ خَيْرِ مَدَائِنِ الشَّامِ. رَوَاهُ أَبُو دَاوُدَ.

دمشق کہا جاتا ہے جو ملک شام کے بہترین شہروں میں سے ہے۔(ابوداؤد)
