It is narrated from 'Amr ibn Shu'ayb, from his father, from his grandfather (may Allah be pleased with him), that he said: The Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) forbade the recitation of poetry in the mosque, buying and selling in it, and people forming circles in the mosque before the Friday prayer.

٩٩٤ - وَعَنْ عَمْرِو بْنِ شُعَيْبٍ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، عَنْ جَدِّهِ (رضي الله عنه) قَالَ: نَهَى رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ عَنْ تَنَاشُدِ الْأَشْعَارِ فِي الْمَسْجِدِ، وَعَنِ الْبَيْعِ وَالاشْتِرَاءِ فِيهِ، وَأَنْ يَتَحَلَّقَ النَّاسُ يَوْمَ الْجُمُعَةِ قَبْلَ الصَّلَاةِ فِي الْمَسْجِدِ. رَوَاهُ أَبُو دَاوُدَ وَالتَّرْمِذِيُّ.

کرتے ہیں، ان کے دادا نے کہا کہ رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے ممانعت فرمائی ہے کہ مسجد میں (لہو و
لعب) کے اشعار پڑھے جائیں (اور اس سے بھی منع فرمایا ہے) کہ مسجد میں خرید و فروخت کی جائے
اور لوگوں کو جمعہ کے دن نماز جمعہ سے پہلے مسجد میں حلقے بنا کر بیٹھنے سے بھی منع فرمایا ہے۔(اس کی
روایت ترمذی اور ابوداؤد نے کی ہے۔)
