Jabir (may Allah be pleased with him) narrated: I heard the Prophet (ﷺ) say: “The devil attends you in everything, even your food. If a morsel falls from one of you, 1 let him remove any dirt and eat it, not leaving it for the devil. When finished, let him lick his fingers, for he does not know in which part of his food the blessing lies.”

Note 1
(1) The statement: “If a morsel falls, etc.”: In “Radd al-Muhtar,” it is Sunnah not to leave a fallen morsel, as it is wasteful; one should start with it.
