Al-Bara' ibn 'Azib (may Allah be pleased with him) narrated that the Prophet (ﷺ) said: "When a Muslim is questioned in the grave, he will testify that there is no deity worthy of worship except Allah and that Muhammad is the Messenger of Allah. That is the meaning of Allah's statement: {Allah keeps firm those who believe, with the firm word, in worldly life and in the Hereafter} (Surah Ibrahim: 27)."
In another narration, the Prophet (ﷺ) said: "{Allah keeps firm those who believe, with the firm word...} (Surah Ibrahim: 27): This verse was revealed regarding the punishment of the grave. It will be said to him: 'Who is your Lord?' He will reply: 'My Lord is Allah, and my Prophet is Muhammad.'

۱۱۸ - عَنِ الْبَرَاءِ بْنِ عَازِبٍ (رضي الله عنه)، عَنِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ قَالَ: «الْمُسْلِمُ إِذَا سُئِلَ فِي الْقَبْرِ يَشْهَدُ أَنَّ لَا إِلَهَ إِلَّا اللهُ، وَأَنَّ مُحَمَّدًا رَسُولُ اللهِ، فَذَلِكَ قَوْلُهُ: {يُثَبِّتُ اللهُ الَّذِينَ آمَنُوا بِالْقَوْلِ الثَّابِتِ فِي الْحَيَاةِ الدُّنْيَا وَفِي الْآخِرَةِ } (إبراهيم: (۲۷).
وَفِي رِوَايَةٍ عَنِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ قَالَ: {يُثَبِّتُ اللهُ الَّذِينَ آمَنُوا بِالْقَوْلِ الثَّابِتِ} (إبراهيم: (۲۷) : نَزَلَتْ فِي عَذَابِ الْقَبْرِ ، يُقَالُ لَهُ: مَنْ رَبُّكَ؟ فَيَقَوْلُ : «رَبِّي اللهُ وَنَبِيِّي مُحَمَّدٌ». مُتَّفَقٌ عَلَيْهِ.

براء بن عازب رضی اللہ عنہ سے روایت ہے، انہوں نے کہا: رسول اللہ صلی اللہ
علیہ وسلم نے فرمایا کہ جب مسلمان سے قبر میں سوال ہوگا تو وہ ”لَا إِلٰهَ إِلَّا اللّٰهُ مُحَمَّدٌ رَسُولُ اللّٰهِ
“ کی شہادت دے گا، پس عذاب قبر کے متعلق اللہ تعالیٰ کا یہ قول ہے ﴿يُثَبِّتُ اللّٰهُ الَّذِينَ آمَنُوا
اور ایک دوسری روایت میں آنحضرت صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم سے مروی ہے کہ آپ نے
فرمایا کہ یہ آیت ۞ يُثَبِّتُ اللَّهُ الَّذِينَ آمَنُوا بِالْقَوْلِ الثَّابِتِ ”الخ ۞ عذاب قبر کے بارے میں
نازل ہوتی ہے۔ (میت سے) کہا جائے گا کہ تیرا رب کون ہے؟ جواب دے گا: میرا رب اللہ ہے،
میرے نبی محمد (صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم) ہیں۔ (بخاری اور مسلم نے بالاتفاق اس کی روایت کی ہے)۔
