It is narrated from Ibn Umar (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) said: "The prayer in congregation is twenty-seven times superior to the prayer offered alone." This is agreed upon (by Al-Bukhari and Muslim] Ali Al-Qari said: Abu Hanifah and Malik used this as evidence for the Sunnah of congregational prayer.

١٤٢٣ - عَنِ ابْنِ عُمَرَ (رضي الله عنه) قَالَ: قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ: صَلَاةُ الْجَمَاعَةِ تَفْضُلُ صَلَاةَ الْفَدِّ بِسَبْعٍ وَعِشْرِينَ دَرَجَةً». مُتَّفَقٌ عَلَيْهِ.
وَقَالَ عَلِيُّ الْقَارِي: اسْتَدَلَّ بِهِ أَبُو حَنِيفَةَ وَمَالِكُ عَلَى سُنِّيَّةِ الْجَمَاعَةِ.

وآلہ وسلم ارشاد فرماتے ہیں کہ تنہا نماز پڑھنے والے سے 27 درجہ بڑھ کر ثواب جماعت سے نماز
پڑھنے والے کو ملتا ہے۔
اس کی روایت بخاری اور مسلم نے متفقہ طور پر کی ہے۔
