وآلہ وسلم نے ارشاد فرمایا (کہ جمعہ کے ادا کرنے کے شرائط میں سے یہ ہے کہ نماز جمعہ مصر میں اداء
کی جائے گی، اگر کوئی جنگل یا کھیڑے میں جمعہ ادا کرے تو اس کا جمعہ صحیح نہیں ہوگا۔ اس کو ظہر پڑھنا
پڑے گا اب رہا فنائے مصر تو) فناءِ مصر میں (بھی مصر کی طرح) جمعہ صحیح ہوتا ہے (ظہر پڑھنے کی
ضرورت نہیں، فنائے مصر سے کیا مراد ہے اس کو اس حدیث میں بتلایا گیا ہے کہ وہ مقام جس کو فنائے
مصر کہتے ہیں، وہ مصر سے اتنے فاصلے پر ہو کہ) اگر کوئی وہاں سے نماز جمعہ کے لئے مصر میں آئے تو
وہ اطمینان کے ساتھ نماز جمعہ کے بعد اپنے مقامات کو رات سے پہلے پہنچ سکے (جس کی مقدار
ایک فرسخ یعنی تین میل ہے)۔ (اس حدیث کی روایت ترمذی نے کی ہے۔)

(1) "The previous Hadiths and narrations from our Imams indicate that Friday prayer is only valid in a central city. The discussion here is about the distance from which one is obliged to attend Friday prayer in the city. Al-Allamah Al-Shami said: ‘It is established by the Hadiths, narrations, and the opinions of our three Imams and the majority of scholars that there is no consideration for hearing the call or for distance in miles. In Al-Durr al-Mukhtar, it is preferred to consider the ease of returning home without hardship. In Qadi Khan, Abu Yusuf said it is three farsakhs (approximately 18 km), and if one can spend the night with his family, Friday prayer becomes obligatory.’"

(۱) قوله: الجمعة على من آواه الليل إلخ وما مر من الأحاديث في شرط المصر الذي تصح إقامة الجمعة فيه، والكلام هنا في حد المكان الذي من كان فيه يلزمه الحضور إلى المصر ليصليها فيه. وقال العلامة الشامي: قد علمت بنص الحديث والأثر والروايات عن أئمتنا الثلاثة، واختيار المحققين من أهل الترجيح أنه لا عبرة ببلوغ النداء، ولا بالغلوة والأميال. وقال في الدر المختار» ورجح في البحر» اعتبار عوده لبيته بلا كلفة. وفي قاضيخان» عن أبي يوسف، هو رواية عنه من ثلاثة فراسخ، وعنه : إذا شهد الجمعة فإن أمكنه المبيت بأهله لزمه الجمعة، واختاره كثير من مشايخنا.
