Abu Dharr (may Allah be pleased with him) narrated that the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said: “Every glorification of Allah is charity. Every declaration of His greatness is charity. Every praise of Him is charity. Every declaration of His oneness is charity. Enjoining good is charity. Forbidding evil is charity. And in the sexual act of one of you is charity.” They said: “O Messenger of Allah, does one of us fulfill his desire and receive reward for it?” He said: “Do you not see that if he had done it unlawfully, he would have sinned? Similarly, if he does it lawfully, he is rewarded.”
