It is narrated from Al-A'mash that the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said: "The affliction of knowledge is forgetfulness, and its loss is when you narrate it to those who are not its rightful people."

٢٤٨ - وَعَنِ الْأَعْمَشِ قَالَ: قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ: «آفَةُ الْعِلْمِ النِّسْيَانُ، وَإِضَاعَتُهُ أَنْ تُحِدِّثَ بِهِ غَيْرَ أَهْلِهِ». رَوَاهُ الدَّارِمِيُّ مُرْسَلًا.
