Abu Sa’id Al-Khudri and Anas ibn Malik (may Allah be pleased with them) narrated that the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said: “There will be division and discord in my nation. A people will emerge who speak well but act wickedly. They read the Quran, but it does not pass their throats. They pass through religion as an arrow passes through a target, not returning until it falls back on its bow. They are the worst of creation. Blessed is he who kills them or is killed by them. They call to Allah’s Book but have nothing to do with it. Whoever fights them is closer to Allah than they are.” They asked: “O Messenger of Allah, what is their sign?” He said: “Shaving.”
