Abdullah ibn Umar (may Allah be pleased with them) narrated that the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said: Whoever drinks wine, Allah will not accept his prayer for forty mornings. If he repents, Allah will accept his repentance. If he returns, Allah will not accept his prayer for forty mornings. If he repents, Allah will accept his repentance. If he returns, Allah will not accept his prayer for forty mornings. If he repents, Allah will accept his repentance. If he returns a fourth time, Allah will not accept his prayer for forty mornings. If he repents, Allah will not accept his repentance, and He will make him drink from the river of khabal.
