Chapter on Boasting and Fanaticism

Zujajat al-Masabih 4697Volume 4

English

Uqbah ibn Amir (may Allah be pleased with him) narrated that the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said: “These lineages of yours 1 are not a means of disparaging anyone. All of you are children of Adam, filling the measure but not completing it. No one has superiority over another except through religion or God-consciousness. It is sufficient for a man to be foul, obscene, and miserly.”
