Abdullah ibn Amr (may Allah be pleased with them both) narrated that the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said: “The maintainer is not the reciprocator; the maintainer is who, when his kinship is severed, maintains it.”

٤٧٤٦ وَعَنِ ابْنِ عَمْرِو (رضي الله عنه) قَالَ: قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ: «لَيْسَ الْوَاصِلُ بِالْمُكَافِي، وَلَكِنِ الْوَاصِلُ الَّذِي إِذَا قُطِعَتْ رَحِمُهُ وَصَلَهَا». رَوَاهُ الْبُخَارِيُّ.

صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے فرمایا: جو شخص بدلہ چکاتا ہے وہ صلہ رحمی کرنے والا نہیں ہے لیکن صلہ رحمی
کرنے والا وہ شخص ہے کہ اگر اس کا ناطہ توڑا جائے تو وہ اس کو جوڑے۔ (بخاری)۔
