Abdullah ibn Mas‘ud (may Allah be pleased with him) narrated that the Prophet (ﷺ) said: “The mill of Islam will turn for thirty-five, or thirty-six, or thirty-seven years. If they perish, they will follow the path of those who perished before them. If their religion stands, it will stand for them for seventy years.” He said: I said: “From what remains or what has passed?” He said: “From what has passed.”

٥١٩٦ - وَعَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ مَسْعُودٍ (رضي الله عنه) عَنِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ قَالَ: «تَدُورُ رَحَى الْإِسْلَامِ لِخَمْسٍ وَثَلَاثِينَ، أَوْ سِ وَثَلَاثِينَ، أَوْ سَبْعٍ وَثَلَاثِينَ، فَإِنْ يَهْلَكُوا فَسَبِيلُ مَنْ هَلَكَ، وَإِنْ يَقُمْ لَهُمْ دِينُهُمْ يَقُمْ لَهُمْ سَبْعِينَ عَامًا، قَالَ: قُلْتُ: أَمِمَّا بَقِيَ أَوْ مِمَّا مَضَى؟ قَالَ: «مِمَّا مَضَى». رَوَاهُ وَأَبُو دَاوُدَ .

سیدنا عبداللہ بن مسعود رضی اللہ تعالیٰ عنہ سے روایت ہے، نبی کریم ﷺ
نے ارشاد فرمایا: اسلام کی چکی پینتیس 35 یا چھتیس 36 یا سینتیس 37 سال گھومے گی اگر وہ ہلاک
ہوں گے غلط راستہ چلیں گے تو ہلاک ہونے والوں کا راستہ ہے اور اگر ان کے لئے ان کا دین قائم
رہے گا تو ان کے لئے وہ ستر سال قائم رہے گا، تو میں نے عرض کیا: اس کا شمار باقی زمانہ سے ہوگا یا
گزرے ہوئے زمانہ سے ہوگا؟ تو آپ نے فرمایا: گزرے ہوئے زمانے سے ہوگا۔ (ابوداؤد)۔
