Ibn Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both) narrated that the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said: “When the people of Paradise have gone to Paradise and the people of the Fire to the Fire, death will be brought 1 and placed between Paradise and the Fire, then it will be slaughtered. A caller will proclaim, ‘O people of Paradise, no more death! O people of the Fire, no more death!’ The people of Paradise will increase in joy upon their joy, and the people of the Fire will increase in sorrow upon their sorrow.”

٥٣٨٩ - وَعَنِ ابْنِ عُمَرَ (رضي الله عنهما) قَالَ: قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ: «إِذَا صَارَ أَهْلُ الْجَنَّةِ إِلَى الْجَنَّةِ وَأَهْلُ النَّارِ إِلَى النَّارِ جِيءَ 1 بِالْمَوْتِ حَتَّى يُجْعَلَ بَيْنَ الْجَنَّةِ وَالنَّارِ، ثُمَّ يُذْبَحُ، ثُمَّ يُنَادِي مُنَادٍ: يَا أَهْلَ الْجَنَّةِ لَا مَوْتَ، وَيَا أَهْلَ النَّارِ لَا مَوْتَ، فَيَزْدَادُ أَهْلُ الْجَنَّةِ فَرَحًا إِلَى فَرَحِهِمْ، وَيَزْدَادُ أَهْلُ النَّارِ حُزْنًا إِلَى حُزْنِهِمْ». مُتَّفَقٌ عَلَيْهِ.

سیدنا ابن عمر رضی اللہ تعالیٰ عنہما سے روایت ہے انہوں نے کہا کہ رسول اللہ
صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے ارشاد فرمایا: جب جنتی جنت اور جہنمی جہنم میں منتقل ہو جائیں گے تو موت
کو لایا جائیگا1 حتی کہ اسے جنت و دوزخ کے درمیان رکھا جائیگا پھر اُسے ذبح کیا جائیگا، پھر ایک ندا
دینے والا ندا دیگا کہ اے جنتیو! کوئی موت نہیں ہے اور جہنمیو! کوئی موت نہیں ہے تو جنتی لوگوں کی
خوشی پر خوشی بڑھ جائیگی اور جہنمیوں کے غم پر غم میں اضافہ ہوگا۔ (متفق علیہ)۔

(1) His statement: “Death will be brought…”: In a narration, it is said: “It will be brought in the form of a ram.” It is said that everything has a reality and a representation in that world. The representation of death is a ram, knowledge is milk, faith is a canopy, and so on. Regardless, Allah represents it as such to show its absence and removal by slaughtering the ram, so they attain absolute certainty and knowledge. (Summarized from Al-Lama’at and Al-Mirqat)

(۱) قوله: جيء بالموت وقد جاء في رواية: يؤتى على صورة كبش قيل: لكل شيء حقيقة ومثال في ذلك العالم ومثال الموت الكبش، ومثال العلم اللبن، ومثال الإيمان الظلة، وأمثال ذلك. ومع قطع النظر عن ذلك يمثله الله بذلك ليريهم عدمه وزواله بذبح الكبش وليتقنوا غاية اليقين والعرفان التقطته من «اللمعات» و «المرقاة».
